Kym-mani King

Kym-mani King is a former collegiate football player who made a significant impact both on and off the field. A graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Kym-mani was a key member of the renowned "Dark Cloud Defense." His leadership played an instrumental role in securing the 2023 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championship and a victory in the Celebration Bowl. 


Before his success at FAMU, Kym-mani transferred from Iowa State University, where he helped lead the team to a Big 12 Championship in 2020. A highly regarded recruit, Kym-mani chose Iowa State over offers from Georgia Southern and Marshall, as  a three-star ranked by 247Sports. Over his high school  career, Kym-mani solidified his reputation as a standout defensive player, racking up 198 tackles, nine interceptions, and numerous pass breakups.


In his senior season in high school, Kym-mani tallied 58 tackles, two interceptions, and seven pass breakups, including returning one interception for a touchdown. He had a similarly impressive junior season with 55 tackles and 11 pass breakups. Kym-mani was also recognized for his versatility on the field, earning First-Team All-Pasco honors for both offense and defense, as well as First-Team All-State Utility and First-Team All-State Kickoff Return.
